A-level results - help is at hand

A-level results day is just a week away, and for the majority of young people, it will be a celebration of two years' hard work and the start of a new adult life; but with more pressure on university places than ever, there will be some students needing support and advice if results day doesn't bring the best news.
Islington Council will be providing Connexions Personal Advisers in all schools and colleges on results day to
provide information and advice on the options open to young people after A-levels. They'll also be on hand on GCSE results day to talk through post-16 education and training options.
Connexions advisors will be able to help young people in the borough make informed decisions on full-time further
education, college courses, work-based
learning, training and job opportunities.
Councillor Richard Watts, Islington Council's executive member for children and young people, says, "The
Connexions Personal Advisers can help out whether you've missed the
grades you were hoping for, or if you've done better than you expected
and want to reconsider your options."
Connexions advisers will be setting up at various locations across the
borough between 19 August and 3 September. Advice is also available by
calling the Connexions team on 020 7527 7031. See the Connexions Direct website for more information, or drop into Connexions Islington at The White Lion Centre, 43-45 White Lion Street, Monday to Friday.
