Highgate seems to have long surpassed Notting Hill as the place to be for the London celeb set, and its reputation as home to the beautiful people is to be cemented by the arrival of none other than model, designer and occasional singer Kate Moss.

Moss is rumored to have purchased a seven-bedroom mansion in the smart end of Highgate, near to pals Jude Law and Sienna Miller and fellow celebs Annie Lennox, George Michael, Sting and Trudie Styler. The model, mother and former paramour of Babyshambles' Pete Doherty has sold her home in St John's Wood and will be moving to the new pad with fiance Jamie Hince and daughter Lila Grace.

Moss's purchase of the £7.5million mansion is likely to do no harm to house prices in the area, and the presence of the Addiscombe beauty and her Kills gutarist boyfriend may well boost Highgate's rock'n'roll credentials. Will Kate bring the cool factor to N6? We hope so!
