World Cup in Highgate - where will you be watching?

The World Cup in South Africa is just two weeks away, and with the time difference between the UK and South Africa a mere two hours, venues in Highgate are getting ready to welcome eager fans during daytime and evening matches. Which of Highgate's many cup-ready pubs will you be heading to for the tournament?
-
Ball, ball, ball....footy, footy footy.
The Woodman on Archway Road will be showing all the matches on no fewer than three big screens - two inside the pub and one outdoor - so you can be pretty much guaranteed a good view of the action. The Woodman has table service on all food and drink so you can sit back and enjoy the match without needing to elbow your way to the bar. There's a selection of hand-pulled real ales, including Highgate Bitter (sadly from Walsall and not from N19, but we like the name anyway), and a menu of light bites and more substantial meals available all day.
The Whittington Stone, The Angel and The Prince of Wales will also be showing all matches, with The Angel offering World Cup-themed beers during the tournament. There will also be food and drinks promotions at The Whittington Stone throughout the cup.
If you don't mind heading south from Highgate Slopes, there's fun to be had all month long at The Horatia on Holloway Road. The pub will be throwing themed party nights corresponding to the matches played, showing all games on three big screens, and running a Half Time Bingo competition. The pub has a late licence and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays so you can work on your own footwork and perhaps even, ahem, score.

ReportYes, I suppose our new question should be: "World Cup in Highgate - will anyone be watching?"

ReportThe Winchester on Archway Road is my choice; plenty of room and screens (and not too far to trudge home with head in hands when the inevitable happens....)
