Goodbye, Candy Fountain

As planned, the Big Rock Candy Fountain that has lit up the night over Archway Tube was brought down over the weekend, marking the end of the installation.

The piece, by artist David Batchelor, was the third winter installation developed by Archway Investigations and Responses in partnership with Islington Council. The brightly-coloured light sculpture has been a welcome sight in the dark of Archway's winter, but with the clocks now set to British Summer Time and the days drawing out, it's time for the fountain to flow away from its erstwhile home.
