Pirate radio crackdown

Good news for residents on Hillcrest who have been coping with break-ins, mysterious men operating power tools in the middle of the night and people clambering about on roofs at all hours.
Not to mention those that have had ladders and tools bags thrown at them by fleeing intruders.
The police and Ofcom are now taking the pirate radio problem seriously. That means increased police patrols and more rapid response from police and the council to related incidents.
Pirate masts have already been removed from the tops of the Hillcrest buildings.
And hopefully residents will get better nights' sleep in the future
