A new programme from the Mayor of London's office and Total Swimming is bringing mobile temporary swimming pools to areas of London without access to regular swimming facilities. A 12m steel tank swimming pool is currently in residence at Highgate Primary School on Storey Road, and will remain until the first week of September for classes, crash courses and family swimming sessions.

Pool's out for summer at Highgate Primary
Sessions cost just £2 (with a minimum booking of three sessions), making this summer an ideal time to learn or improve swimming technique and have fun in the water. The pool is open from 10.30am to 7pm on weekdays, on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. As well as swimming lessons for all levels and family fun sessions, the pool can also be booked for children's parties on Sundays.
Make a Splash is part of the Government's Olympic legacy plan and aims to get communities enjoying fitness activities in the run-up to the 2012 Games. Mayor Boris Johnson recently named the programme as Number 37 in his list of 100 Great Things about the 2012 Olympics.
To book sessions, call Community Swimming on 0844 736 9047 (8am to 8pm Monday to Friday) or email book@communityswimming.co.uk. Changing facilities are available onsite; please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of your session.
