Haringey Council today strongly welcomes the announcement of a £20million investment for Tottenham Hale Station.

The funding, part of Transport for London's £300million London-wide package to support economic growth will help the transformation of Tottenham Hale - which has been earmarked as an area for business and enterprise growth.

Cllr Alan Strickland, Haringey Council's Cabinet Member for Economic Development said: "With its quick connections to Stansted, Stratford and the City, Tottenham Hale is fast becoming a key area for economic growth in London, which this funding recognises. We have made a strong case for investment in Tottenham Hale station and I am delighted that Transport for London have responded so positively. We're clear that improvements at Tottenham Hale are key to pushing forward the wider regeneration of Tottenham, driving economic and employment growth, and opening up the area to substantial investment and development. We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with TfL and the Mayor of London to transform Tottenham Hale."
