Got an idea for Hornsey Town Hall? Let Haringey council know!

Haringey council is calling on local people to let them know what kinds of activities you would like to see in the revamped Hornsey Town Hall. The Town Hall building and the square that surrounds it could be used for a range of community activities open to people in Crouch End, Highgate and the surrounding area, and the council wants your suggestions.

Hornsey Town Hall will become a vibrant community hub - with your help!
A relaxation of licensing rules means the square can be used as a trading place and a centre for occasional activities outside the council's direct control, including farmers' markets, art fairs, wine tastings, literary festivals or even an outdoor ice rink.
Cllr Nilgun Canver, Cabinet Member for Environment, says, "Let's make this lovely location the jewel in the crown of Crouch End. As well as the more traditional offerings, we are hoping for some innovative ideas which will celebrate the community, bring a vibrancy to the area and reflect the distinct personality of Crouch End."
"This is an opportunity for all to have their say and help shape the tone of the Town Hall Square area. Please get in touch and give us your views." A trial period will allow up to ten events to be held on Town Hall Square up to Christmas.
If you have an idea for an event or activity which is self-financing, benefits the local community, and fits around existing commitments at the Town Hall, then send it by email to hth@haringey.gov.uk, write to Hornsey Town Hall Interim Uses Group, Room 1:15, Civic Centre, High Road, Wood Green, N22 8LE or telephone 020 8489 1794.
What would you like to see the Town Hall square used for? A vintage fair or French Market? Wellbeing or lifestyle activities? Let us know below!
