Free New Year's Eve travel 2011

Planning to head out on Saturday night? Tube, DLR and tram services will run all night on New Year's Eve and all travel will once again be free between 11.45pm and 4.30am.

Have a great New Year's Eve with free tube and bus travel
If you're going into town for the festivities, please note that Charing Cross tube will be exit only from 11.45pm to 3am - head down to Embankment instead if you want to get home in the early hour
Leicester Square will also be exit and interchange only from 8pm to
just after midnight, so if you're out on the town in the evening and
want to be home for the bongs, walk up the road to Tottenham Court
Road station.
Buses will run a normal Saturday service; 24-hour and night bus routes
will operate as normal. If you're in the centre of town, be aware that
some roads will be closed from around 5pm onwards. Roads will reopen
from around 3am.
London Overground will run a normal Saturday service, finishing at the
usual times. A reduced service will run on tubes and buses on Sunday from around 5am.
If you're going to see the fireworks in central London, do allow plenty of time to get there are viewing areas fill up early. Or why not head up to Hampstead Heath for London's best free firework display?
